GOD OF WAR GOD OF WAR

i got the platinum in God of War this weekend and uninstalled it, which means i can officially say i enjoyed every minute of it. i literally can't think of a complaint. its take on an open world is the best one i've ever seen, it's the most gorgeous game i've played this generation, exploring is a joy, it has skill trees and weapon rarities but scaled down to a way where it's enjoyable and not 99% obtaining garbage you'll never use. combat feels so tight and impactful. the story is beautiful. the set pieces are jawdropping. it is my favorite game.

I think it’s impossible to compare BotW to THUG. I can’t say which is the better game, even though BotW is certainly a bigger achievement. I can’t describe how much of a breath of fresh air BotW was. In the end I picked THUG because it means more to me. It is also the best Tony Hawk game and skateboarding game. Play it if you haven’t. It holds up.

For the record, I think THUG, BotW, Mario World and Dark Souls all deserve to win this whole tournament.

R/B/Y were incredible achievements given their platform and I really believe they are still fun to play. However, they’re not close to being the best Pokemon games.

If you haven’t played THUG and/or BotW I honestly don’t know what you are doing with your life

 

despite getting a bunch of GotY buzz, i don't think God of War really got its roses. im curious how many voting for SMW have played GoW. its incredible from beginning to end and the couple of gripes i have seen against it (Atreus being annoying/being Dad of War) are just so wrong imo

 

i wonder that in a non-judgmental way, im genuinely curious

I have played both and God of War is incredible and one of the best video games of all time, just so happens to be going up against what I would say is arguabley the greatest video game of all time.
