Final Fantasy VI - recently completed this and it was a blast, I could not get into Bloodborne at all. Probably because I done Dark Souls just prior to it and could not handle it. Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver - I cannot remember much of Mass Effect 2, I think this was another game I should have gotten into but did not spend as much time as I should have with it. Pokémon was a staple growing up so this was a no-brainer. Shadow of the Colossus - this is one of my favourite games and always go back to it every few months for the nostalgia and sheer joy of it Bioshock - again, another of my favourites. This game was a thrill from start to finish. Just got the PS4 collection recently and it still holds up
Final Fantasy 6 - the best mainline game in the franchise, albeit not my fave. Amazing cast, fun mechanics, memorable plot, incredible music, and best villain. Pokemon - I loved gen 2. The last one I played. Shadow of the Colossus Super Mario RPG - on my third playthrough of this, and this time I WILL beat it.
Final Fantasy VI Mass Effect 2 Rocket League Bioshock ME2 and Rocket League are all timers of their respective gens. Granted, so is Shadow of the Colossus but I dont get four deep and go "man lemme fuck around to some Colossus for an hour and fall asleep"
Bloodborne Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver Shadow of the Colossus Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Having been playing through them all recently, Gen 2 is spiraling down towards the bottom of my list.
Bloodborne Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver Shadow of the Colossus NA Platinumed Shadow of the Colossus recently, partially due to this bracket. That game is not exactly what I would call fun, in fact a lot of it is pretty irritating to play, but its also pretty tough for me to say it isnt the best game of all time. The atmosphere is unlike any other game Ive played and its just so artistically cohesive. Cant think of another game that pulled off what it did.
Final Fantasy VI (67) - My second-favorite game of all time, sorry Bloodborne ya had a good run. Mass Effect 2 (35) - Pokemon knocked out Chrono Trigger so I'm voting against it. Shadow of the Colossus (14) Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (83) - Toughest call for me this round, I just feel like the concept of turning Mario into a JRPG, and making it work, gives this one the edge. Said to have to vote against Bioshock though.
FF6 - On certain days I call this my favorite JRPG of all time. It really may be. N/A Rocket League Super Mario RPG - This is a top 5 RPG for me as well.
I hope they give FF6 the Remake treatment. Seems like a great game but do not find the original fun to play.
The original 16-bit visuals are still beautiful but I would like a remake of some kind just so that the only easily-accessible version isn't the ugly af mobile version
