Wind Waker and honestly it’s not very close for me. Game is a magnificent experience, has such a unique charm to it, and is just overall a joy to play and one of my all time favorites of all time.

I didn’t vote because I couldn’t decide lol I’ll take it, BotW is amazing. I expected a game I don’t even like to win honestly.

 

my least favourite of the final four but I'm ok with it winning. great game.

 

Wind Waker is better

 

its a top five game for me but like if this is four, there's a big gap between it and three. the pain of losing Hollow Knight almost immediately still floors me haha.

BotW is the first open world game I've ever played, if you can believe it. That game captivated me. I lost sleep for weeks playing it in bed. I let Fire Emblem sit unopened for like two weeks so I could finish it. Well deserved, I say.

 

That is truly wild. Anyway, it's good place to start because it's great but also a bad place to start because if made most other open world games feel terribly outdated.
