Song is amazing performance was heartwarming instant most anticipated album of the year for me

 

I have a hard time watching live BSS videos because its a painful reminder that I missed their setlist at Lollapalooza back in 2005 (maybe it was 06). Some call it the greatest Lolla performance ever.

 

And new song is great. Duh.

"Almost Crimes" is still peak aughts indie rock though.

 

Such a great song and what a nice performance. "Friendship, ladies and gentlemen, friendship."

Hug Of Thunder sounds great, I can't think of another band that merges atmospheric/dreamy pop with indie rock as well.

 

My friend pointed out this song to me because I was looking for the same kind of thing

 

I bought their self titled recently, never heard it, expecting it'll be really cool though

 

I've recently been listening to it a lot. It's one of my favorite records of all time, probably like it more than You Forgot It In People. Just a perfect sunbathed album.

 

Only heard YFIIP recently after hearing a cover of anthems for a seventeen year old girl and being floored, excited that there's possibly an even better album after. Gotta check out the beehive ep too

 

Yeah, I don't think there's a single bad release by this band. Even their first album is pretty great in its own right as an instrumental album

I'll probably be slower on checking that one out, I'm more fickle about instrumental albums in rock for whatever reason. Been trying to kick that habit though

 

Self-titled is definitely my favourite, but it was also the first one I heard.

 

can i reccomend listening to Spirit If... as well. its technically a Kevin Drew solo album, but it might as well be a BSS record. if i was forced to rank BSS albums, it would probbably be my #2. Its highly overlooked.

 

Kevin Drew's Darlings and Brendan Canning's Something For All Of Us, You Gots 2 Chill, and Home Wrecking Years are all records everyone should check out at some point.

They also invited Feist to the makeshift stage for a rendition of their collaborative classic “Lover’s Spit.” Watch them premiere “Can’t Find My Heart” (7:41), “1972” (12:44), and bring out Feist (28:38) below.

 

Been on a BSS binge lately. Not mad about it at all.
