Lol seriously how does anybody think Mark and Tom can work together again.. If there WAS some legal stipulation that they have to let Tom return to actively participating, I have to think Mark would just rather resurrect +44 or pick the next best 50 options for starting a new band than letting Tom force him into doing blink with an uncooperative, flaky guy that refuses to work with a producer. Like this has to be the happiest Mark has been in blink since before Boxcar Racer came into existence.

 

Idk, people reconcile. Just last week I saw Axl & Slash performing on stage together after years of hating each other.

 

My god the Tom fans in here are unbearable.

Reviving the Pop-Punk Innocence of Blink-182 - The New Yorker

 

Uh so anyway, I was listening to Untitled and was reminded why it was the only Blink album I really liked once the transition from Easy Target to All Of This happened. Why don't they play Easy Target? I feel like that should be some sort of cult classic.

 

Wait... the only blink album you liked?

 

You don't think that's not by design? He clearly doesn't want to be away from his family anymore.

 

Then he obviously wouldn't want to rejoin blink and go touring for months at a time.

 

Jeez, everyone on he so confident that Tom is never coming back.
We live in a world where Slash rejoined GNR after 20 years, The Stone Roses came back after 15 years, and the original Smashing Pumpkins are planning a reunion. At the Drive In, Refused, The Replacements all returned. John Nolan rejoined TBS. David Lee Roth returned to Van Halen, Ozzy returned to Black Sabbath.
....It may not happen for another 5 years, but it's inevitable. And no, I'm not a Tom fanboy. I think the dude has become a caricature of himself. But it will happen one day.

 

I mean, Tom left and came back once already. I think that was the inevitable comeback. I am hoping this time he is gone for good. No confidence, just what I desire.

 

You forgot on a lesser extent, Hidden In Plain View reuniting. That was unexpected

Could it happen? Sure, but I don't think you can say it's inevitable. If Blink maintains their current momentum I don't necessarily see a reason why Mark and Travis would really want Tom back in the band. It's not like either of them are hurting for cash. Most of those reunions happened because it was the only way some of those musicians were gonna make money or get people interested in their band again. Is it possible? Yes but I don't think it's gonna happen.

Would I be okay with Tom coming back? I guess but if it were to happen I'm voting for Blink to become a 4-piece with Skiba.

 

A 4-piece wouldn't work, Tom would make sure Matt got overshadowed.

 

Now if only they'd rehearse sober too

 

Also, with Bad Religion and Descendents still going strong, I don't see any reason why Blink would break up anytime soon.

 

Exactly, Tom used his inevitable comeback already. Hopefully the only one lol.

Geeze, you guys really hate the idea of Tom coming back, haha. Everyone gets very defensive when it's brought up. I think it's likely that he will at some point down the road, but it's possible he never does.
