Honestly, all of the soundcloud singles are pretty fuckin good, super curious if they will end up on an album
You guys ever have those artists/bands you don't approach the right way and don't really click for you so you didn't come back to as often, then come back to way later and finally click with? That just happened with these guys' old stuff. I always appreciated their talent but didn't listen to much real funk a few years back when I tried to get into them, for me they were too "raw" compared to the poppier funky stuff I liked. Coming back to American Love and Stick Up Kids a few years later with a totally different perspective has made me fall in love with this band already. So stoked to give their new stuff a listen once I finish catching up!
Yeah I'm really stoked to hear this, the single seems a lot more rock-oriented than most of their past stuff and Apple Music has the album under "Rock" instead of R&B or pop like their old stuff. Interested to hear if that change and more serious tone holds up across the whole album.
I remember when they played with Envy on the Coast before they broke up, that was a fun show. I wish the POS / Bad Rabbits tour hadn't been cancelled
