Planet of Ice is probably the only one I can get into. Even then i only enjoy about half of it, but the half i enjoy i love. I’ll be damned if White Mystery ain’t one of the grooviest, sexiest songs I’ve ever heard

 

My guess would be some combo of Manchester Orchestra, Julien Baker, Bleachers, Paramore, and Phoebe Bridgers

yeah that'll be up there but i think it's slightly behind that top tier, paramore, bleachers, lorde in that realm too

 

genre labels are all about the community and scene as opposed to the actual sound of the music itself

reminded of this after reading people saying Bon Iver titles are annoying and pretentious:

"I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It" is an absurdly bad title

 

I think that's actually a pretty popular opinion.
