I watch all of what was on Hulu in a single saturday a couple weeks ago. I had a crucial moment of judgement about 30 seconds in when I realized that anytime someone was going to eat good food, it would result in the situation being conveyed as a naked person getting off. Very glad I went the route of sticking it out. Super stoked to watch more of this show.
Yeah, that was the one thing that was weird when I first watched but the situations were usually hilarious so I didn't really mind. I can't believe how hyped I get about a cooking show though, ha.
The moment it won me over was when I realized it was going to happen to everyone. I probably would have turned it off if it only happened to the female characters as some sort of creepy fan service.
the first two episodes are pretty bad with that shit, but it does get a bit more tame and comical as the series goes on. the arc that's currently being covered in the anime is the best part of the series, but it's going to start taking a dive in quality after that unfortunately.
Finally made it to Diamond is Unbreakable in Jojo. Was not expecting the shift in art but I loooved the first episode.
So Food Wars ended with a fucking Jojo reference this week. I thought I couldn't love this show anymore, I was wrong.
I've never read the manga but I have skimmed the original OPM so I know how bad ONE's art can get. I can see why people wouldn't like it but I thought it was neat that they decided to stay close to his style.
i keep hearing about how good this episode was so i watched the first episode today, it was fine, ill keep going with it.
im not the biggest fan of this trend of mixing animation with cgi but knights of sidonia looked fine and the blame manga is amazing, so im looking forward to it.
I almost always hate cgi in anime unless it's really well blended to the point where I can barely tell.
my roommate just got back from chicago and he brought me the bartkira book as a souvenir and it's so awesome.
so i watched the first two episodes of owari no seraph thanks to a friend rec'ing me and i'm def gonna finish it but it gives me such Blue Exorcist vibes (difference is it's PG-13 compared to Owari's R), so i told her to watch that haha.
Willem Dafoe to voice the Shinigami in Netflix's 'Death Note' (Exclusive) Forgot this was happening, but the cast actually looks really solid, and with Adam Wingard directing this could be really good. (Expect them to take a lot of liberties with the concept, which is probably for the best)
Bleach ends next week. The last two chapters were really confusing, so I'm not sure how it ties together.
