Weirdly enough I've started to get back into that genre a bit. For example, Staind's new songs are great.
Angel Du$t - Brand New Soul Courtney Barnett - End of the Day Cursetheknife - There's A Place I Can Rest Deeper - Carefull! Hawthorne Heights - Lost Lights EP James Blake - Playing Robots Into Heaven Mustard Plug - Where Did All My Friends Go? Olivia Rodrigo - GUTS Pain Of Truth - Not Through Blood Proper. - Part-Timer EP Romy (of the XX) - Mid Air Singles: Aaron Frazer, PHONY, Death Lens, The Gaslight Anthem, Gladie, The Joy Formidable, Slaughter Beach, Dog, Soul Glo, Mayer Hawthorne, CIVIC, Glasser, KOYO, Harm's Way
As much of a prick as Aaron Lewis is, I am finding myself looking forward to hearing a new Staind album.
Laufey’s album was incredible. Felt like it was transported here from 80 years ago. Olivia Rodrigo was really good too. I honestly listen to her more as a fan of As Tall As Lions than Olivia herself, but the album exceeded my expectations Goose EP was also great!
I love little nuggets of knowledge like this. My wife is really in to Rodrigo, and I’ve been trying to show her other artists who have been around much longer who have done the style as good or better (while trying not to sound like a hipster douchebag, lol, because I do appreciate different styles getting more mainstream attention). Making that connection between a member of a band from around the scene back in the mid 2000s is now writing for her a bit, it really adds up. Good stuff. Now I gotta go listen to more ATAL.
Dang. Completely and totally missed this. Good to know, thanks for bringing it to my attention. Fucking a, being a decent human being is NOT that hard, people.
