I’m also looking forward to checking out Even the Trees which was recommended to me by @Colin Your Enthusiasm Even the Trees - If Only Every Day Could Be Like This (December 7th, 2018) • forum.chorus.fm
Singles: Mat Kerekes, Modern Chemistry, Copeland, Zayn, Polyenso, Valleyheart, Unamused Dave, Luke Christopher, Kyle, Beck Aside from AFI this is unintentionally a huge rap day for me, I'm not complaining AFI Gucci Mane XXXTENTACION Ice Cube 1800 Seconds Compilation (Pusha T & 1800 Tequila showcasing unsigned hip hop artists from around the country) Also checking out Meek Mill & 6ix9ine's releases from last week
New SUSTO single is great. New album in 2019. Also new singles from Copeland, Mat Kerekes and Valleyheart are all good.
Valleyheart just released their second single "Friends In The Foyer" (and imho their best song ever). Sleeper album comes out next week and will fly under a lot of radars. SOOOO good. FFO: From Indian Lakes, Sufjan Stevens, Manchester Orchestra.
Oh man. totally forgot about secret lives of the freemasons! I think i'll listen to that album today and check out Even The Trees. Probably just checking out AFI and my 'your top songs 2018' spotify playlist.
Yeah Even the Trees is def impressive for a debut. Surprisingly well produced for such a small unsigned diy band.
Psyched for the new Susto record- the new song is a nice progression for them. They're one of those bands that I'm surprised isn't massive in this community- bet this record can change that. Also, The Hold Steady released their 10 year deluxe edition of Stay Positive today. Has 3 previously unreleased b-sides and some demos.
Not much for me this week. I like the new Broken Bells single. Also cheers @Colin Your Enthusiasm and @MattNCheeze for the mention about Valleyheart. Friends in the Foyer is a super solid song. Went and listened to the first song released from the album as well, Crave, and enjoyed that too. Maybe a change to my EOTY list will be in order, I guess we will see next week!
