Even the Trees' debut record “If Only Every Day Could Be
Like This,” the culmination of three long years of
joy, sadness, anxiety, and frustration. The
ambitious 12-track offering will give listeners an
experience that is emotionally taxing to say the
least. Across the album’s 65 minute runtime,
songs will weave through passages that are
hauntingly beautiful, dark, brooding, heavy, and
chaotic. For the band, it has been an absolute
ride and they are finally ready (and proud) to
bring you along.

I came across this on Kingdom-Leaks and it said it was a KL member's band. The community over there seemed to be eating it up. Guess I'm gonna have to check this out after all.

Tbh it’s still pretty solid. Not everything needs to reinvent the wheel. It’s sometimes nice to just hear a genre executed well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

Yes this. Gatherers being another example and Thousand Below's record last year like this one for a debut was great. Wild that Even the Trees only has 680 fb likes haha

For an debut, I can't believe how good this is. Hollowed Out and This Never Ends are so epic. Hard to believe they are at the beginning of the album haha.

I would've been all over this in 2009.

 

Yeah the record starts off strong for sure.

 

Surprisingly for such a long record, I don't find this has a ton of filler.
