Crash Love has some songs on there that get a little irritating, but most of it is great if you like their poppier side. It also has some of the best guitar work from them as well. I know it’s been said a bunch already, but there’s just something about it that at least has some personality...something their newer music is lacking.
Genuinely not one song I dislike off of Crash Love. That album fucking rules. Even the bonus tracks on the deluxe edition are great.
I don't like Looking Tragic very much at all, but Begging for Trouble is the best of the new songs, in my opinion.
Has no one posted that the album is called Bodies and it's out 6/11? Twisted Tongues Far Too Near Dulcería On Your Back Escape From Los Angeles Begging For Trouble Back From The Flesh Looking Tragic Death Of The Party No Eyes Tied To A Tree
re-visiting Crash Love again today and I just don't get it. It's all just one long faceless sound throughout with nothing interesting really happening at all. I'm searching for any moments of interest since there are some fans in here, but nothing really shows up. Especially coming off the last two albums, it's still a disappointment all these years later.
I feel like I've made this same post before but: Beautiful Thieves is the best song on CL I think. VSS is some good Smiths worship. The rest of the album I don't care for.
Love both of those songs, but I also think Torch Song, Sacrilege, and Darling, I Want to Destroy You are great too.
I mean, they're not bad I guess, but far from great. Completely inoffensive and vanilla, but I guess fine
Heh that’s the only song on crash I dislike. I think it’s a solid album all around though. The 3 333 gang mentioned are top tier AFI. Also the last of their interesting album arts and that counts for something lol.
I really hope I like at least one of these new songs, because what I’ve heard so far has been wildly unremarkable for me.
