Americana is perfect outside of Feelings. But hell, even that is on purpose.

I think Smash, then Americana and then it's a toss up from there with Ixnay and Ignition vying for the 3rd spot

  7. MrSark

On doit jouer à domicile comme à la maison.

    Ixnay for me.

Pretty integral part of my youth.

Then Ignition, Smash, Self Titled and then all the others.

I still listen to certain songs from Smash, Ixnay in my regular rotation and a song or two from Americana.

I really can’t save I’ve listen to much since though because I wasn’t into the joke thing. I’m sure I missed out on some good some though.

For me it's Ignition -> Smash -> Ixnay

American loses a couple points for Pretty Fly

I listened to those first three records quite a bit, but Pretty Fly was just so gimmicky.

Americana, but Ixnay isn’t far behind. I’ll acknowledge Smash is their best album, though.

I also maintain that if the joke songs were removed from Splinter, that would be their strongest release.

I give it a pass only because we got a Weird Al song out of it.

It’s funny because even the original song feels like parody, but it’s not. Then you have a really good song on there like The Kids Aren’t Alright which is a current social commentary.

Americana. Bought it when it came out because I liked Pretty Fly... and thought it was the heaviest thing I’d ever heard. I hadn’t listened to much guitar stuff outside of UK indie, so it probably was

I always liked Americana buts its pretty difficult to listen to given how out of tune the vocals/harmonies are on it.
