Out of the Vein. It has everything I love about this band in one album. Plus, they pull off using “tator tots” in a song.

but this new one is pretty damn good. Was not expecting it to be this good lol.

 

This is my all time favourite band.

I voted self titled because it's what got me into them in the first place. I went through each album and absolutely love about 9 songs each on Blue, OoTV and Self Titled, so I could pick either of those on any given day.


Is there a reason you didn't include the newest one?

 

I don't put new albums on the list because a lot of times recency bias takes over. I'll add it to the poll a year from now and people can change their votes if they want.

 

One of my all time favorite bands, but I think my curent ranking is something like....

Blue > s/t > Vein > Ursa > Dopamine

 

Despite how much I adore the first two albums, Out of the Vein holds a very special place in my heart

 

Why are these polls always right before a new album comes out and not a tad after so it can be included? hahaha

 

Not that I'd vote for it in this particular case but it always struck me as odd.

 

Out of the Vein > Self Titled > Blue >= Dopamine > Ursa Major > Screamer (as of first couple listens)

 

ST > Vein > Blue > Ursa > Dopamine

ahhh I guess that kinda makes sense. But I don't really have that issue myself haha

 

Vein, S/T, and Ursa are all super close for me, but I have to hand it to Vein every time. It’s the most timeless to me out of their earlier releases while still capturing my nostalgia and giving us many of their strongest songs.

Riding off the insane quality of their self-titled, this is my favorite cause they experiment a little more and succeed so well imo.

 

Self titled is objectively their best, but Out Of The Vein is my favorite

 

“Objectively” is a strong word to use haha

 

With apologies to Out of the Vein, which is stacked, it’s self-titled. Stacked with hits, and one of the best three-song stretches ever to close the album.

 

yeah self titled is up there with Blue in terms of just wow so many hits and classics on one album, and a debut no less, had to go with it

Blue is great but I'm just not a fan of the Red Summer Sun - Camouflage - Farther run and that knocks it down a peg for me.

I'm aware others love those 3, I just don't. Too experimental

I will say that Wounded is probably in my top 3 all time 3EB songs.....

Like I said, it's cool that you guys dig those tunes. I just don't. They are ok. The rest of that album (and basically ALL of album #1 and #3) are GREAT

 

The vocal effect on Camouflage kills me. Not in a good way.
