New album this week! Sorry the thread is late. I was on vacation. Rank em, tell us why, or just pick one. Link to all of the other polls here. You can leave suggestions for new polls there or here. Whatevs.
So Jealous is the album I always find myself going back to. Its got the most songs I find myself bopping to.
Writing my thought process... If It Was You will always be special since it was my first Tegan and Sara album. Still has some of my favourite songs (is "Living Room" my favourite T&S song? Maybe!) I think So Jealous may be their strongest album front-to-back, and will probably be what I end up voting for. It took me awhile to warm up to The Con, but when it finally connected boy was it an awakening and all I wanted to listen to for awhile. Sainthood has three incredible songs and a lot of other really solid material, but don't think it's a favourite. I like Heartthrob a lot, but I don't return to it much these days. Love You to Death felt sort of like a sequel to it and while I like couple of the songs, it likewise is not a staple I come back to.
The Con and Sainthood are neck and neck for me, went Sainthood because I figure The Con will get more votes.
Legitimately can’t choose between The Con and Sainthood but I’m gonna vote for the latter bc the former is sure to dominate this poll
The Con is the only option that feels right to me, but I really enjoy all their albums from If It Was You onward. I was listening to Sainthood the other day, though, and boy did that album not stand the test of time as much as I expected. Still some incredible songs on there, but it lost a lot of its magic I felt when it was first released.
I love them all and think most of them are near-perfect, but The Con and Heartthrob are perfect, and I have to give The Con the slight edge for packing more of an emotional punch.
Fuck, new album is quite something. But it’s a toss-up between The Con and Sainthood for me. Picked Sainthood in the end bc it always seems to be the one I go back to most. Just started the book, and I’m excited to go back through their catalog once I finish reading with a new-found perspective.
