I ran out of ideas, so I haven't had threads the last couple of weeks. New album out next week! Rank em, tell us why, or just pick one. Link to all of the other polls here. You can leave suggestions for new polls there or here. Whatevs.
Can't believe I didn't think of them. I probably thought I already did, but that was likely when I was doing this way back on AP. But yeah, that'll be next.
This was super tough for me. Even though Underclass Hero might be my favorite in a sense, Chuck is clearly the superior album. So I had to go with that.
I mean, I really like them all, but All Killer is probably my favorite at any given point. That was just perfect for a teenaged Steve.
DTLI? gets my vote. What a great discography though now that I see it all in front of me. Fair to say they’re potentially a little underrated? Or maybe underappreciated is a better word
Boycotting cause there's no Half Hour For Power Kidding, Chuck couldn't be an easier choice for me. No disrespect to DTLI
All Killer Chuck is my third favorite record from this band. It’s very, very good, but I don’t love it quite the same way most do.
Do you normally post in the bands official thread before doing this? I’m sure people have missed a lot of voting threads due to not being aware
I almost always do post them in the threads of the band or their latest album. I'm sure those posts go overlooked a lot due to them moving fast or the threads not having much traction.
I'm honestly surprised this thread has more votes than the Black Keys one. I haven't heard a Sum 41 song in 15 years and The Black Keys seem to be EVERYWHERE lately. There are at least 4 different XM stations where they are in constant rotation.
For me it was between Chuck and All Killer No Filler. I went with Chuck because I think it’s the best marriage of their styles that they’ve had to date.
Have you done Saosin? If you include Translating The Name (which is a lot of people's favorite despite being an EP) that's like 4 albums.
A lot of us have more history with Sum 41 than say, a newer act such as The Black Keys. That's my guess!
All Killer was the first album that I listened to by choice and got me into music for the first time so it's an easy decision for me.
This poll could have waited a week to include Order in Decline haha. But it's a toss up between Chuck and Underclass Hero for me.
It’d be cool to see a Baroness one. All of their records seem very well-regarded, so I’m interested to find out what the Chorus consensus would be.
Underclass Hero has their best song they've written in my opinion but the nostalgia factor of All Killer does it for me. Chuck does have my favorite song musically though
