I like the idea of a montage showing the struggles of 2010s Tom Brady that shows how he's overcoming all the doubters

no one is really inventing it. Brady said it because that's what athletes do is self-motivate and really, it's not like, super weird to say the entire year people have been saying "they're not as good as they used to be" or "what's wrong with the Pats." It's just kinda a whatever thing and people are blowing it up like it's a huge controversy. It's just weird to me.

I think it's because normally teams who are like "they think we can't win games" are like 5-11 teams that fought their way to 9-7 and are trying to do damage, while a bad year for the Patriots is like 11-5 which would be an amazing year for just about anyone else hahaha. Saying "they're not as good as they used to be" is still saying they're a top 3 team in the NFL and Brady is acting like we just moved the team to the PAC conference.

 

Weird hill to die on for fans but come on it's easy to understand why it's such a hilarious statement

 

Today I found out the Detroit Tigers drafted Mahomes in the 37th round of the draft

 

lol it is, but i also remember Rodney Harrison saying "no one believed in us" after running through an undefeated season. Every athlete does it.

Again, i'm just sitting here like "everyone is bored and needs a hobby" if you're mad he said it or if you're mad because you believe it haha.

 

To be fair this IS the hobby that we picked up because we were bored

I know the Pats don't suck. I spend too much time taking great delight in reminding people the Pat's don't suck. But you guys can't be surprised players/coaches search out bulletin board material when none is readily available?

You don't think anytime someone on ESPN says "Brady's declining." "Brady's heading for the cliff" etc Bill doesn't throw that shit up on the screen.

It's all just motivation stuff for them, and talk radio stuff for the rest of us.

Just because I want the Pats to lose doesn’t mean I want them to get smoked. I was so jaded after three meh games I barely watched any of Saints/Eagles
