Special shoutout to Wilco's Summerteeth. I listened to it today and feel it got lost amongst all the albums from our formative years. This was admittedly not a band I knew when I was ~14. In fact I remember hearing them for the first time a few years later when YHF came out, and still not being way into it just because it was way different then the scene stuff I was obsessed with at that age. Anyway I got way into Wilco a few years later, and after hearing it again today I might feel comfortable calling it my fave album of theirs. To me it's a perfect mix of hooks/melody and tight musicianship, blending the alt-country with some of their more krautrock and indie leanings to come. Wonderful album. I feel bad it didn't even crack my top 10, it really deserves to be there.
I forgot to post that I did some listening: Incubus - Make Yourself Blink 182 - Enema of the State Mos Def - Black on Both Sides
