‘Ready Player One’ Trailer

I'm not sure just yet, hopefully Spielberg hits this one out of the park...

 

Wish they would have given a little more plot or premise in the trailer. I've read the book but if I had seen this without prior knowledge I don't think I'd be much interested.

 

This looks too good. Really loved the visuals of the stacks on that opening shot.

 

I was just very confused. It looks great visually, but that just gave me zero idea as to what the story is about.

 

I've never read the book, so I'm also confused, was that the iron giant?

I think they will with time. This was the fan service / show off some IP to new people trailer.

 

A guy lives in a boring future world so he lives in VR?

That's the jist of it.

 

Book was okay. Curious how this will play out.

 

He lives in a messed up future, and to escape everyone goes into the Oasis, a vast virtual reality world created by a guy named Halliday. He creates a contest in the Oasis, the winner gets his fortune. It's filled with pop culture refferences and characters in the Oasis.

 

Just got my hard copy in from Amazon. Excited to read and then see this.
