Anyone see this film? I watched it three weeks ago, really enjoyed it! One of the better animated films to come out in recent years
Did this not have a thread? i totally LOVED this movie, start to finish A+ picture, it had me hooked on first watch
Watched this last night finally; really really well done film. Animation was spectacular, casting was on point, plenty of funny moments, great message, etc.
Watched it with my girlfriend for free and man I wish I paid for it because it was so fucking good. Sloth scene had me in stitches. Noticed Idris Elba even was in this! Us good ol Brits gotta sneak in there somehow.
This deleted scene from Zootopia is a real bummer the alternative plot for this movie would have been MUCH darker. Wow, i actually wish they did go this way. While it would've been more depressing, i think it's the edge this movie needed to make it more memorable. I already reviewed the movie saaying i thought it was missing something edit: some debate saying this was a scene from a possible pre-quel/sequel or whatever. not sure. obviously this isn't a deleted scene as this shows a completely different plot altogether. Regardless, it's a really really really really reallly DEEP scene. Would've been really powerful to show.
not a deleted scene or prequel/sequel bit. explained in the article (and on the dvd/br) it was from the original plot of the movie, when it centered on Nick. they ended up scrapping that plotline when they all realized how incredibly fucking depressing it was. having Nick as the protagonist made the film too cynical, they said, and they ended up switching the film's PoV to Judy still an incredibly moving scene; one of the animators explained that it was the emotional centerpiece of that version of the film at the time
paused while watching in the beginning to catch all the animalized (shut up, that's a word) versions of musicians/bands on Judy's iPod The Beagles Black (i assume it's a play on Black Sabbath but i can't catch what it says. maybe Sabretooth?) Catty Purry Destiny's Cub Ewe 2 Fleetwood Yak Fur Fighters Gazelle (just realized the other songs under Try Everything are plays on Disney movie songs.
