Didn't post in here but they are releasing a series of EPs that will combine to form the first "Adrian era" album. Licking On A Knife... I think is really good. Don't think we've got a date for when II (3, 2, 1, geddit?) will release yet, probably early next year now around when they support Goldfinger in California.
Interesting! I didn't know they were doing three EPs. I wasn't a huge fan of III, but that might have just been me needing to get use to Adrian's voice (or it's the vague Linkin Park-ness that some moments of the songs had on them)... Because I've been really enjoying "Licking On A Knife" and "No Tomorrow."
New song "Middle Seat Blues" EP releases Feb 3rd, there's a bunch of pre-order bundles available: https://twitter.com/zebrahead/status/1609617378085855233 And finally have a music video
I haven't listened to these guys in a hot minute, used to love MFZB when I was in my high school / collage years.
I really like their recent output with Adrian, looking forward to this. Wish these guys would do a North American tour again
Apparently they got a very good reception at WWWY and there are things in the works, though that usually means "a couple of shows in California supporting someone else". It'd be awesome to see them tour the US again after so many years. As a UK fan I'm hoping to catch their shows with Teenage Bottlerocket next January!
Still unavailable in the U.S. but I'm assuming it's a Wednesday release and will be available within the hour for me. The title has me concerned it's another drinking/party song by ZH, but Adrian entering the mix as a singer/songwriter gives me some hope that it's not just another bro anthem. Edit: OK, it's fine. On paper, the lyrics to the chorus would make you think it's a party song, but there's some heaviness to it when you hear the melody, I guess. The song isn't very memorable, but it's not bad or anything.
Man, I wish I liked the new singer's voice more. I've tried repeatedly, and had a few moments where it clicked, but I don't know that I'll ever be able to click into it. It's too like... '06 era "singing parts of bad pop-screamo bands" for me.
