This summer just got better

 

Updated the OP. I know there's only a couple of us in here (currently), but I've had the album for a few weeks, and, uhhhh, it's really fucking good. There will be a review next month.

imo it's fuckin weird and bad for this dude to title an album stranger fruit given the way this project started

 

Admittedly, I didn't know much about "Strange Fruit" itself until your post, so I'm glad you mentioned it. It definitely seems...weird considering the project's origins. Something for me to think about. Hopefully he gives the title some kind of context during the album cycle.

 

I’ll give Manuel the benefit of a doubt and let him explain himself on that.

Yeah, this is definitely a step up from the debut in my opinion.

 

Finally listening to this and woah. There are points where he gets real Tom Waits-y and it sounds wonderful.

The new EP is great
