Had to give a shoutout to @irthesteve for linking the Kacey duet on her thread. I'd only heard his name a couple times before and this was the first time I listened to him. I've now listened to this album multiple times and I'd consider myself a fan, all from hearing a duet with Kacey. I really like the metaphors and poetic nature of his lyrics, and this is going to be an amazing fall listen.
Huge Zach Bryan fan. American Heartbreak had far too many songs on it, but I absolutely love about 20 of them. New album is pretty amazing too, although I've only gotten to listen to it once. Can't wait to spend some serious time with this one.
All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster kicks ass. He has a ton of songs and tbh he writes A LOT of lyrics, it’s incredible how much the crowd knows.
I like this record a lot, and every time I listen to it I find something new I love, but I think American Heartbreak is my favorite thing he’s done so far. For as big of a record AH is, all the below are absolute gems. The rest is still very good too! Something In the Orange Heavy Eyes Mine Again Happy Instead The Outskirts Cold Damn Vampires Tishomingo Oklahoma City Sun to Me Highway Boys Sober Side of Sorry The Good I’ll Do Someday (Maggie’s) Open the Gate ‘68 Fastback Morning Time
He definitely sounds like Randy Rogers every now and then (and sometimes there’s even a hint of Josh Abbott), but he’s a far better songwriter than both.
Willing to share a single-disc American Heartbreak, if people need an entry point into that unwieldy masterpiece.
What people don't realize about American Heartbreak is that it may have 34 tracks but honestly at least 25, and maybe upwards of 28-30 of them, are really really good.
checked this out on a whim after seeing a bunch of people I follow hyping it up fantastic record, the restrained production by bryan himself really does a great job at allowing the songwriting and performances to shine did not expect the horn and string arrangements on some of these songs to remind me of 00s indie a la sufjan stevens, arcade fire, etc.
Zach Bryan announces 2024 tour w/ Jason Isbell, Turnpike Troubadours, Sheryl Crow & more Zach Bryan and Jason Isbell together. Count me in.
lol fuck me. sheryl crow's the one opener i don't like at all and the only date she's on is atlanta. flanked by isbell and TT who i would love to see.
