Hell yes, the dude has released close to 100 songs in 4 years. And he has a very good "high quality" rate. Keep it up, ZB
This is good. Wish a few more songs had the bombast of “Overtime” but when the songs are this solid it’s hard to complain. Fear and Friday’s was a standout on first listen along with the songs with War and Treaty and Kacey Musgraves.
Album is good. Like hearing him expand the sonic palette a bit. I still feel like he's got a tendency to reuse vocal melodies though.
Yeah, he's one of my favorite artists right now and he deserves ALL the fame and credit he gets - but some of his songs are a little "samey". Minor complaint. I'm ready for him to put together a big band with fiddle and other instruments and try to do BIG SOUND instead of mostly acoustic-y based songs. I bet that's coming soon.
Me listening to the new Home is Where: “I wish this sounded more like Neutral Milk Hotel” Me listening to the new Zach Bryan: “I wish this sounded more like Neutral Milk Hotel” wtf is wrong with me.
I’m so glad this is fifteen songs and an intro. Could never do American Heartbreak in full after the initial listen.
want to know how much the label pressured him to put "Dawns" on the album. would have fit nicely. "Jake's Piano - Long Island" whew!! more Zach Bryan piano songs please.
I’m actually not sure it fits. The production on the record is a little more sparse. “Dawns” is pretty lush. I like that he left it off even if I adore that one.
Yeah I'm digging this. I do think the sheer amount of songs he's released has made his style of lyrics/melodies a little stale in places, and on some songs he's got an awkward delivery that strikes me less "this is raw and unfiltered" and more like "this melody needed polishing". Like his delivery of "I remember...I remmmemberrr everything" sounds like he doesn't know how to time the line right lol (not a big deal but that kinda thing stuck out to me on a lot of songs). Overall though some really great songs here and the collabs all go over better than I expected
This is gonna be my wife and I’s joint record of the year. I don’t think we will listen to anything else while we are together for the rest of the year. Can’t wait to crank this all fall.
