Knowing nothing about Zach before this year, but then really getting into this album, I've been doing a dive into his back material. I think DeAnn and Elisabeth are pretty nice albums but definitely don't have the special something that I feel like he has now. Quiet, Heavy Dreams is a really good EP, definitely gets interesting and is super strong. You all weren't kidding about American Heartbreak, what an album. Only have given one album but it really does stay good the whole way through with a ton of standouts. Halfway into Summertime Blues right now and it's really great as well. Really impressive catalog
I'm a newbie and here because of the Boys of Faith EP. Here's how I'll approach anyone that asks me about getting into this dude. How hungry are you? Because we have three options on menu today. Appetizer - Boys of Faith EP Main Dish - Zach Bryan Buffet - AH
I don't return to live albums much, but holy hell the All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster album may be my go-to Zach Bryan album. It just brings all of his songs to so much life. Incredible.
Fair enough but if the amount of vinyl LPs is how we measure it then a lot of albums we consider “single albums” are actually double albums, so I’m sticking with the amount if CDs haha
I mean, it's been marketed as a triple album since it came out, and the original release was just digital anyway; no CD or vinyl until later. So, the artist's intention is the top reason you should consider it a triple album.
It also splits really well across three separate acts. First disc closes with "You Are My Sunshine," second opens with "Darling" and ends on "Someday (Maggies)," and third starts with "Poems & Closing Time" and ends with the poem. Those all feel like more deliberate sequencing arcs than ending the first disc with "Whiskey Fever" and starting the second with "Billy Stay."
I should probably split AH into three playlists. I always get so overwhelmed listening to it (and I've listened to it twice in the last week while weaving through flights and airports).
Zach's IG story music recommendations are worthy of a playlist. Venn diagram of his tastes vs the average Chrous user is just a circle.
Sold my pair of Zach Bryan tickets for Chicago at face value ($385!!!! Each), and bought two 4 day passes for Bourbon and Beyond in Louisville ($340 each). crazy.
