Vibes at the Mumford concert and the ZB concert were verryyyyy similar. ZB crowd was just more outwardly MAGA

Unrelated, but he’s playing a soccer stadium here this year, last time it was an arena, in Europe his trajectory is still upward

Listened a second time. None of the songs are bad but just a lot of average songs. Don’t think I’ll listen again straight through. Songs that stood out.

Dude is already posting new songs on IG

  7. I was gonna say a lot of his melodies and vocal delivery here feels like Mumford through a budweiser heavy filter

Bands like Counting Crows give me 10 new songs per decade so I’m not gonna complain about ZB being prolific. I understand all the comments but basically give me all the songs and if some are bad I can skip them

american heartbreak has like 2 skippable songs IMO

Personally I can do without the poem songs. They do nothing for me. Everything else - glad to have

    ALL HAIL PEAGLE Prestigious

I didn't realize this came out last week. I've listened twice through the album and once through the acoustic

I'm still digesting it but I think there are really only a couple songs I'd cut. And I don't know if there are any songs where I'd go with the acoustic over the album version, but I'm a sucker for horns and strings

    Favorites so far:

    Appetite
    Drowning
    Santa Fe
    Dry Deserts
    Anyways
    All Good Things Past

The beginning of Aeroplane is giving me strong Brian Fallon/TGA vibes. Sounds similar to Empires off History Books.

Also the soft 'wooooo' coming in at the 1:40 mark gets me every time.

I bartended a preparty for a ZB show in 2025 and it felt like a MAGA rally with the crowd, extremely drunk and extremely gross.

I think that’s more of a reflection of the genre and not him though. I don’t know a bunch about him but any country show I have worked the last 4yrs or so has felt MAGA adjacent, besides Shania and Kacey.

It's really a bummer. I've been a big country music fan for a long time, and most of those artists I just have no interest seeing live because the crowd/vibe is so shitty. I caught Chris Stapleton pretty early in his rise, and the audience was already insufferable. I can't imagine what it would be like now.

The only refuge from that in this genre is people who are female artists who never really had big hits anyway (Kacey), artists who have been very vocal about their liberal views (Jason Isbell), or both (Maren Morris).

after spending some more time with this, there are really only a few weak tracks to me, which really isn't bad when it's 25 songs long

I like this album a ton. His best yet because of the more varied melodies and the fuller arrangements. But dear god he needs a producer. It’s bananas to headline arenas and have out-of-tune guitars and songs that slip out of time on your record.

  20. His biggest song has no time signature

  21. Or at least I think something in the orange is still his biggest idk
