Really trying not to pay attention to any of his breakup drama but his ex was just on a podcast where she claims she was offered $10 million to sign an NDA to not talk about the breakup and/or their relationship. That sounds excessive, no?
At best it’s pretty terrible emotional abuse and Barstool wanting clicks. There were hints at some physical stuff. I think he really needs to get some help edit: To clarify theres a lot of typical dumb drama bullshit, but the last 5-10 mins of the show are upsetting and show it to be more than just a typical messy relationship. I think writing it off as just internet drama is incorrect.
Not excusing his behavior obviously, but I think it’s clear that alcoholism has been a through line in his family. I’m nearly positive it’s what killed his mom. It’s the “bad gene” he sings about. He obviously needs some people to step in and get him the help he needs.
Certainly not going to speculate, but Bri says something happened in Boston that she is not going to talk about and that she never wants to relive again - which coincides with the timeline of ZB missing that show.
This part 100% felt like she was referring to physical abuse. Also based on the story she tells it doesn't feel out of character. I listened to the podcast and the guy comes off as unhinged. Obviously two sides to every story, but this is pretty damning.
Also- the confirmation of him canceling on Noah Kahan for the Fenway show makes me hate him. THEN ZB makes that instagram post making it seem like he was innocent with the facetime screengrab with Noah. So unfair to Noah.
This is more on the drama side and not the serious allegations side, but he also got mad at her for signing "another man's song" (morgan wallen) in his house, and he hated that she listened to Noah Kahan so much. He seems like a pretty big insecure dork on top of all of the other, worse stuff Dude has built most of his career being pretty raw and honest about being a piece of shit and he got paid millions of dollars to do it, so it's not completely surprising. He needs to get some help and he needs to treat people better.
just listened to the whole 90 min. youtube episode out of curiosity. some deeply troubling things and insinuations in there for sure. i never want to minimize abuse but this all falls right under the "i wish i knew less about everybody's private life" category.
