These aren't problems! A person can get drunk and make an Eagles joke about Taylor Swift! A person can say they miss when Kanye was good!
I get why Swifties are on high alert after Elon basically said he wanted to SA her but they're also prone to defending her too much and obviously Zac didn't mean any harm
I totally agree this "controversy" is standard twitter outrage, but when you keep attracting negative attention for the things you drunkenly put on social media, maybe it's time to reconsider how you're acting when drunk
The comparison to Kanye, of all people, was in especially poor taste and I definitely think he made it worse with the non-apology apology and deactivating his account.
This is dumb. Who gives a shit. I’m more interested in why he thinks music shouldn’t be political, an awful take. I too prefer old Kanye to T Swift, even if I never listen to it anymore, doesn’t make it untrue.
lol i made my original post yesterday intending to just kinda make fun of the fact that he always tweets dumb stuff and then walks it back the next day certainly didnt mean to launch a character assassination on the dude lol
Zach definitely seems to do dumb things and make mistakes but personally he feels like he's trying, and his intent is mostly good. Or maybe not, I don't really know the guy
This is pretty much the only conclusion to come to. Saying he’s from Oklahoma and joined the military like that’s enough to question anything he says is…a dumb thing to say haha
@OhTheWater (ah that tag user function still works!) What I (a dumb person from a small town in Oklahoma - not as small as Zach’s hometown, but close) was saying that IF this guy is a raging right wing weirdo (not that he is) no one should act surprised. Don’t expect too much of people when it comes their views or beliefs when, more than likely, they don’t line up with most people on this website’s. Oolagah has like 1k people and Zach’s from a military family and joined right out of high school. Figure it’s a greater than 50/50 chance he and I wouldn’t be friends!
The reason I ever checked him out in the first place was because he was standing up for LGBTQ rights against idiots like Travis Tritt. He has proven himself time and time again to eschew the stereotypes that are typically laid on young white country artists, so I don't see any reason to take what he says in bad faith. He seems like an alright guy with his heart in his right place who gets drunk and says dumb stuff. Could he turn out to be an absolute bigoted asshole? Sure, absolutely. Am I sitting around pondering whether I'd be friends with a famous musician. No, not really. He honestly strikes me like most of the blue collar people I know from my neighborhood in Northeast Philly. Probably going to say some dumb shit with a few beers in them, absolutely would not get along with most people on this site.
100% this. Calling these "problems" is probably harsh, so I should clarify. I personally think he's a well-intended good person but he has a terrible habit of sticking his foot in his mouth online and attracting unnecessary hate.
in today's edition of: "i wish i didnt know about people's private lives", apparently its splitsville for ZB and BC and the internet is being NORMAL about it.
