I'd say keep going. I'd venture to say you won't be a fan if you don't enjoy the entire first season, but the second season is where things really hit its stride. That being said, I've only seen season one once and pretty much ripped through it

 

I was also hooked from the first episode.

 

It’s decent so far, I’ll give just about every show an entire first season to figure out a groove

 

The show pulled me in instantly. Season 2 it starts becoming top tier television

 

I didn't get hooked until the last two eps of season 1

Episode 1 hooked me and I just loved it more and more as the season went on. It was certain moments in season 2 that made it an all time favourite though.

 

Yeah the first season is enjoyable but 2 really ties everything together

The character I play is just a human being who enjoys food and sex. Episode 3 of season 4 had a sex scene where Edgar (Desmin Borges) knocks on Lindsay's door, and she quickly strips down to her underwear and bra because they can't keep their hands off each other. Women tell me that scene was refreshing; they appreciate seeing a plus-size woman enjoy sex without her size being a joke or a fetish. I felt the same. For me, the scene was about the collaboration between Desi, Stephen, and I to get the best physical comedy and energy of the scene right. Seeing a woman who is bigger than a size six celebrating her sexual pleasure shouldn’t be a rarity on TV or in real life, but it is.

 

But the majority of jokes about her character are centered around her weight? She’s either saying something (literally) unbelievably stupid or sloppily jamming food in her face? She’s a great actress but I’ve always disliked what her character has become

 

She, apparently, disagrees and loves the physical comedy and who she's allowed to be.

 

Which is fine I guess. It’s just always bothered me how so many comedies that have a bigger than average woman need to make jokes about them also being dumb or aggressively overeating as a joke.

Also I kind of misread that quote in the first place so I shouldn’t have said anything

I started this last week and just saw the episode focusing on Edgar’s PTSD. Holy shit that was beautiful and difficult to watch.

I was just thinking today that a seriously underrated moment in sitcom history is Vernon revealing he got his medical marijuana card because he “saw a dog”.

 

Season 4 added to Hulu. Excited to rip through it!

 

I just started this for my first time on Friday. I’m almost done the first season. It’s a really good show all around.

 

Excited to rewatch 4. I've gone through 1-3 so many times, never gets old

 

Every time I think about how anxious I am for this to come back, I remember that it’ll be the last time and immediately regain patience

Edgar is killing it in season four.
