It’s not much different, but after how organic that rest has felt to me it does feel different. It’s still a very strong show.
I don't like the actor playing Boone so that's part of it too. This show is still the best. Every year except for the first there's always laundry list of complaints as the seasons goes along but then we all like it when it's over. I remember in season 2 it was Lindsey's too stupid, then it was Jimmy and Gretchen are too unlikable. I never really agreed with those ones.
Wtf @ the Boone hate, dude is awesome. I'm bummed for Jimmy and it's hard to watch Gretch actively trying trying to move away from him but that's not Boone’s fault, he seems like a pretty good guy imo
Yeah I don’t really get the Boone hate. I mean I would prefer Gretchen and Jimmy together but that’s just not gonna happen, not for the foreseeable future at least
Watching with my little cousin and I was like “this makes SO MUCH SENSE!” Now I wish she’d been in it more.
I’ve seen Pitch Perfect a few times but never made the connection. Just looked up the clip to confirm it
her opening up the K cups, pouring them in, then starting the machine and overflowing her cup.... pure magic in that scene
Finally caught last week’s episode. Best of the season so far, in my opinion. Not sure why everyone hates Boone so much. He’s a nice enough guy and the actor who plays him has good comedic delivery.
Yeah just straight up not a fan of the actor. I don't care that he's driving a wedge betwen Jimmy and Gretchen. Ty and Nina never bugged me. This show has like the best characters on tv though so it's a high bar.
we totally fuh I had fun dancing with your father it's just cinnamon and sugar Gretch, how do you even get cinnamon is it sticks does it come from a spice store
This might be a weird observation, but I’m listening to Los Campesinos! right now and just realized that their songs actually make me think of this show. I think they are kind of spiritual cousins of each other (funny, caustic, romantic, and sad).
That scene with Boone in last week’s episode where he was harassing the guy in the car is what made me hate him. Didn’t mind him before that scene just made him seem shitty and now I can only see the character through that lens.
Yeah I definitely see how that could've been off putting, but if "being a total asshole sometimes" was something I couldn't tolerate in regards to this show then I'd probably hate like everyone besides Edgar lol. Hopefully that doesn't reveal itself as his most prominent characteristic though
"YEAH.................................. you're not banned." Tbh wasn't feeling this episode that much until the end. With the context of that final Gretchen/Heidi conversation I wound up liking the rest of it more. The cinnamon bread exchange gave me secondhand embarrassment
Probably because Heidi was being super weird towards Gretchen the whole time and you couldn't tell why I loved that episode. So Jimmy and Gretchen both have entire episodes to themselves this season, Edgar has had his big solo episode last season...I wonder if Lindsay is going to get her own episode. I kind of don't think it'd work...
