Fantastic episode. The fireworks scene seemed a little too happy / sweet for this show, right up until Edgar took one to the chest haha. I kind of hope they don't just treat it like Edgar is totally cured now that he's found weed though.

Lindsay and Gretchen fighting all episode was so great.

Toilet secret door revolving and Paul on the floor with his pants down.

That entire scene was just so casually delivered. My loudest laugh for the episode easily.

 

This is the closest thing I've seen to Happy Endings since Happy Endings ended. I realize its completely, tonally different but something about it reminds me of HE

 

Twenty-Two was pretty brilliant. I think I missed something, what was the reveal of the cassette tape lighting up and Edgar smiling at it?

 

I'm pretty sure the face of the guy on the cassette was the same face he kept seeing everywhere through the episode.

 

Gotcha, as in the car behind him/the sniper?

 

Yeah, I didn't go back to compare but I'm pretty sure that's what it was.

I agree. Can't point out why I find them so similar either.

 

Watching the second most recent episode with Edgar suffering PTSD. This show is really incredible at walking the line between comedy and really intense human emotions like PTSD, depression, etc.

 

Being someone who's suffered from depression my whole life, that line where Edgar says he doesn't want the help, and she says, "it's not just for you, it's for me" hit really close to home.

 

Happened to notice the upcoming episode summaries on RT and I believe I see the episode Aya was talking about without the 4 regulars, and I'm so happy

episode 9, The Seventh Layer, Vernon and Paul take a roadtrip

My god yes. The scene from the s2 finale? with them in the bathroom is one of my favorite scene of the whole show.

Was there any real significance to that house though? I totally missed it if it wasn't just a random house

 

I missed if they explicitly said but I assumed it was Tony Shalhoulb's house, where his dad requested his ashes to be scattered.

Spoilered just because it's only been a day but Ben Folds being shocked people know what Brick is about might be one of my favorite jokes this show has ever made.
