I'm constantly impressed you all can rank 29 movies, but ranking more than that? Crazy! 100?!?! There are so many good movies that are so good for completely different reasons, I don't think I could do it.

@Aaron Mook regular or directors cut of Donnie Darko? I haven’t seen it in forever and have both on dvd apparently.
Regular is far better - leaves loads more ambiguity that the Directors cut decides to try and explain. Better music too.
yeah, director's cut is fun to watch maybe once just to see what it does differently but theatrical is the superior cut for sure
I’ll take a crack at this sometime. My list since I’ve joined this site has definitely changed with age and appreciating different things. I’d still have 2001 at the top though.
It's tough when you look back at it that way. However, when you start looking at it that way, it is going to crowd out a lot of modern stuff. Journey to Italy or Last Year at Marienbad are amazing and I was impressed when I saw them, but I can't remember a thing about them. I was surprised how many 21st century films made the list, but as I cut down the list I found it harder to find the same emotions for some of the classics. Modern films are ones I've spent a lot more time debating and contemplating.

my serious picks for my best list is still The Master, Eyes Wide Shut, and Blue Velvet I always thought that was a really fucked up top 3 but many of you all have these on your lists too, despite them not usually being too represented on online lists
the movies I’ve watched the most list, and that I consider to be the most fun rewatches are probably The Matrix, Alien, and The Thing for me.
