My most anticipated album of 2025 is the first full-length in 12 years by Your Smith, a fantastic indie pop songwriter from Minneapolis named Caroline Smith.

Lovely summer melodies, lush Laurel Canyon production, and great lyrics... definitely someone to watch.

RIYL: Barrie, Yumi Zouma, Sheryl Crow's pop songs, the sound of those new sunny Bon Iver songs.

Color me intrigued. Have never heard of this artist, but the songs are great. I especially liked "Peaches," which sounds a bit like a mid-2000s Weepies song.

she's released about 10 songs total in as many years and about half of them are bangers.

check out her two EPs, which I've always wished she would press as a single LP. my favorite songs are "The Spot", "Bad Habit", "In Between Plans", and "You Could've Told Me" but listening to it all will take under a half hour.

  4. I love Caroline so much. Half About Being A Woman is an all-time favorite of mine and I dig pretty much everything she's done as Your Smith so far
