I listened through mine on my road trip this morning! Might add a second from a year and take one away once I order these, but here’s my (chronologically ordered) 1 per year: Two Door Cinema Club - Tourist History MuteMath - Odd Soul Anberlin - Vital Local Natives - Hummingbird Bombay Bicycle Club - So Long, See You Tomorrow Purity Ring - another eternity Glass Animals - How To Be A Human Being Manchester Orchestra - A Black Mile to the Surface Novo Amor - Birthplace Penny and Sparrow - Finch
I've only just listened to Southeastern for the first few times recently. Cover Me Up floored me, fantastic song. I was not surprised at all to discover it was probably his most popular song. Travelling Alone and Elephant are the other two standouts thus far.

I will quit the site if an album comes out in 3 months that makes my top 10 of the past 10 years. It’d be embarrassing to put an album that new on the list. If anything, these lists should start dropping in 2021
I disagree bc 1000 gecs should be everyone’s album of the decade and that only came out a couple months ago
Pianos Become the Teeth-- Keep You Perfect winter/early spring record and some of my favorite lyrics of all time. Favorite Track: Late Lives You Blew It!-- Keep Doing What You're Doing Moved from FL to DE in 2014 for college, and this record was the soundtrack of me trudging to class in the winter while being completely unequipped for snow. One of a few bands that reminded me of home when I was missing it like hell. Favorite Track: You & Me & Me The National-- Trouble Will Find Me Not the best National record (SWB and HV are better) but it's my favorite. Favorite Track: Pink Rabbits Joyce Manor-- Cody Same as with the National. Not their best (NHA) but my favorite. Last You Heard of Me is my most listened to song of all time on Last.fm, for some reason. Favorite Track: Last You Heard of Me The 1975-- I like it when you sleep "But ABIIOR showed such range, yada yada yada" Yeah, I agree. But ILIWYS takes the 1975 formula and nails it perfectly. Excited to see what they do in the future, but this record was the perfect amount of self-indulgent for them. Favorite Track: If I Believe You Foxing-- Nearer My God Hello, recency bias. Grand Paradise is one of my favorite album openers of all time. Favorite Track: Grand Paradise The Menzingers-- On The Impossible Past I was really tempted to put After the Party here, but OTIP holds a really special place in my heart. I moved about 20 min outside of Philadelphia a few years back and always wanted to blast this record, windows down, driving over the Ben Franklin. Helps that I met someone extremely important to me who loves this band and record as much as I do. Favorite Track: Gates The Wonder Years-- No Closer to Heaven Excuse me for this very spicy take, but this is TWY's best record. Unfairly maligned due to muddy mix/production, but some of their best songs are on this record and all these songs absolutely kick live. Favorite Track: Thanks for the Ride Phoebe Bridgers-- Strangers in the Alps If I were to make a top 10 songs of the decade, Scott Street would be up there. I can't believe this is someone's debut record. If you haven't listened to Killer + The Sound with Noah Gunderson, do yourself the favor. Favorite Track: Scott Street Bon Iver-- I,I Probably the recency bias talking again but I can't even imagine how much talent (or acid?) it takes to write a run as good as holyfields> hey, ma> U(Man Like)>Naeem>Jelmore>Faith. Favorite Track: Faith Honorable Mentions: The National-- Sleep Well Beast & High Violet Fireworks-- Gospel Joyce Manor-- Never Hungover Again Julien Baker-- Sprained Ankle The 1975-- The 1975 Bleachers-- Gone Now Turnover-- Peripheral Vision The Hotelier-- Home Like Noplace is There Microwave-- Much Love The Menzingers-- After the Party
I need to give that gecs album another try because it was so much not what I was expecting that I couldn't finish the first song
already changed my list around a bunch since yesterday and couldn’t keep it to ten so here y’all go. i expect to rearrange this 100000 more times before the end of the year
I'm hoping that my current top 10 stays the way it is but with a new Jimmy Eat World Album out in October things could get shaken up.
Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy Young Thug - Jeffery (and probably So Much Fun too) Vein - Errorzone Kendrick Lamar - Section 80 Deafheaven - New Bermuda Future - DS2 Deftones - Diamond Eyes Power Trip - Nightmare Logic I know I'm overlooking A TON, but this was what came to mind quickly
