Anyone watching? Just watched the first episode, this seems like it will be great!

 

I watched the first episode and was not into it at all. My friend has kept up with it and said it’s not great.

 

it's okay, but pretty ridiculous and gets more and more ridiculous as it goes on

 

Stuhlbarg and Cranston are good but there are a lot of narrative choices that made me mad and I'm not sure if it was intentional or not

 

i binged this whole thing yesterday and actually liked it quite a bit. it's pretty ridiculous, sure, but i still got into it.

 

If what Dan Patrick said is true, sounds like S02 is currently filming right now in NO.

 

EP 1 of Season 2 is now streaming.

 

Anyone watching Season 2? Pretty good so far. Cool to see the Heisenberg/Tio Salamanca reunion.

 

This show automatically started after the season finale of Yellowjackets. Watching it for the first time now. What the fuck this is dark as hell.

 

Isiah Whitlock Jr as a corrupt shady politician? Can't go wrong there.

 

season 2 is a step up from season 1 but this show is still sooooo incredibly ridiculous

 

I don’t know any of you made it past the first episode of the show to be honest.

 

Honestly the first episode kinda of gave me Ozark and Mayor of Kingstown vibes. Like an attempt at a dark prestige drama but just flat and missing a spark of something. At least Kingstown can be fun in a dumb Sheridan way.

 

it was hard for me because there's no ethical moral dilemma let your son face the consequences of his actions

 

I originally only kept watching bc my parents were watching and I was briefly living with them at the time. I've only continued watching bc I'm a completist and a sadist.

 

Same. This season feels so pointless, but I started it now I gotta see it through.

 

so this shit made it to netflix. I mean you look at that cast and go WOAH!? This can't be too bad right? Every actor in this thing is like, a real, thespian level actor. Even some of the more minor roles are legit actors. You give me a New Orleans setting and even the premise is good enough "Son of a very high moral judge does a hit and run on the son of the biggest mobster in town" (dun dun dun).

but this show is....it's not TERRIBLE... but it's in no way, by any stretch of the imagination, good lol. Like at all. First off, the son is the WORST. Just the absolute worst. The entire show is "STOP MAKING SHIT WORSE EVERY TIME YOU APPEAR ASSHOLE"! Like confess or get out of the fucking way. Don't you care what you're doing to your dad? Look at him. Then there's just way too many characters, a lot of subplots that don't go anywhere, and just the most elementary style of dialogue/writing i've seen in quite some time. I don't normally care about these things but could we have given ANY OF THESE NEW ORLEANS NATIVES AN ACCENT?! Just the tiniest of southern drawls? All of these people who grew up there. You dont have to go full swamp/creole but just the slightest of accents.


It's entertaining enough to watch for the most part. You're given an excellent cast....but this needed to be in the hands of someone better.

 

This show is so stupid but in a fun to watch kinda way
