Your Favorite Records

Hello all...

Every year around this time, I try to update my list of all time favorite 250 records. I never really get it right before I give up on the comparisons and I always seem to forget something or make some decisions that I really question the next year, but it's a fun exercise. I take it seriously, to a point, but at some point I have to just give up. I'm usually pretty pleased with the order of the first 25 to 50 albums, though.

Does anyone else do this? I'd love to see your lists, if you do.

A few years ago, I dreamed of a music recommendation service that would involve members submitting their 50 favorite albums. Basically, the service would look at each persons list and find others who had the most similar lists and then recommend things that each person might have missed. I think that this sort of things could catch some interesting nuances and point people in the direction of things that they may have missed. Anyway, on to the ridiculous list.
