Yeah we're on the natural peanut butter which you have to keep in the fridge and it kinda sucks. We were a Jif and Smuckers Strawberry Preserves family growing up. I miss it.
My go to PB things (that aren't PB&J) Toasted Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich (sometimes I put Honey on it if I have it) Peanut Butter and Graham Cracker Sandwich A spoonful of Peanut Butter in my instant Ramen along with Soy Sauce to give it kind of a thai peanut sauce thing (apparently this is also a big prison meal)
Controversial Food Opinion: Ants on a Log might be fun treat for kids but it is bad. Peanut Butter doesn't work with Celery.
Agreed. I always thought that snack was gross. If I was ever at a gathering where it was served, I’d just lick the peanut butter and raisins out and ditch the celery
Open house Spaghetti dinner nights are a great American culinary tradition and more places should do them. Also Cake Walks. Where you play little games at your Elementary school on a Saturday to win free cake. Do more of that.
Celery is an absolutely unbelievable cooked ingredient but gotta be among the most ass raw vegetables
Celery works well to add snappy texture to a dish, but raw on it's own it doesn't have a very strong flavor at all.
Worked at Hungry Howies like 15 years ago. The store closed and now the closest one is like 4 hours away. I think about it often. Edit: I hadn't looked in a while but thanks to that post, I looked again. There is now one 45 minutes away. Will probably make the drive in the next few weeks.
I have a can of Campbell's fully loaded baked potato soup and I also have a can of chili. Would those two go together?
Yeah I was asking because flavor wise it sounds great but texture wise I dunno. It's like Campbell's Chunky brand of soup so it wouldn't be too thin.
Flavor wise it sounds like it'd be like a baked potato loaded with chili which is good? I think it would come out looking kind of gross with the color mix though - it'd probably turn pink and chunky and not at all appealing, and if you were going to eat the whole thing, I'd also say that's a hell of a sodium bomb. But idea wise, and if you're brave enough, why not.
