They look questionable in the middle but I enjoy Dubai chocolate. I don't buy them cause they're expensive but I love a pistachio moment
Yeah the only thing stopping me from getting it more is the price. But it’s a fun “splurge” treat every now and then
We went to Aldi this week and I picked up a thin crust pizza for an easy dinner on the night that my son has swim lessons. It was $3 and incredible. Really, really good for a frozen pizza and you absolutely cannot beat the price. It was huge.
I gotta go back to Aldi for some stuff. They just never have everything I need so it gets annoying splitting shops between them and Walmart. Plus curbside pick up is so convenient haha.
I get everything that I can from Aldi and then go to giant eagle for the rest. I don’t do curbside. I like grocery shopping.
I absolutely hate grocery shopping, but I will admit it is sometimes nice to be there to browse and find something you weren't planning on getting
They're always so packed that I either get anxious or angry at people being in my way lol. Except Aldi. For some reason they are never busy. But every other grocery chain in my town is always packed - Walmart, Hannaford, Market Basket, and Shaw's
I like grocery shopping and do the majority for the household. We do like 90% of our shopping at Trader Joe's and there are always too many people in there. Still get out faster than Aldi because they only ever have one cashier.
I see a future where we look back on self checkout and think about what a shitstorm it ultimately was but conversely I can easily see a future where cashiers are a thing of the past because capitalism. it doesn't seem to have been a success so I guess time will tell I'm pretty ambivalent on it
Aside from my personal beef with Aldi, I just hate the way they operate their stores and try to frame it as the only way they can offer low prices and they're actually doing us a favor. There is no way to offer good customer service when you run so lean that there are only 3 people working the store at once.
I would like grocery shopping if it weren't for the other people. If I ever go to jail it will be for attacking someone at a Giant Eagle. I love Aldi, especially now that they built a second one close by so neither of them are particularly slammed. The self check out is crucial. When the first one opened near me I used to have to wait in line behind like 10 full carts just to buy a box of fit n active hot pockets (which I miss, bring them back)
We only go to Aldi for like toilet paper, paper towels, or one-off items we forgot to get elsewhere, so a self checkout would be clutch in ours, but the line is always halfway to the back of the store before they call the other person working.
My wife and I did Aldi for a while but there isn’t a continent location to us. It’s like a 20 minute drive to the closest one from our place. Where as Trader Joe’s or different grocers are like 5 min
