im sorry youve never eaten a good french fry. maybe its not totally your fault.

 

The best fries I’ve had are sweet potato fries at town taverns

 

A perfectly cooked salty fry doesn’t need to be dipped in anything.

sweet potato fries need to be extremely crispy to be good. A soft sweet potato fry is horrible

The town tavern north of where I live has the perfect sweet potato waffle fries. Crispy and lightly salted. It comes with a cinnamon butter dip but you don’t need it.

Whoa now. Let’s not cross any lines. Sweet potatoes are the superior potato. Bake sweet potato slices with cinnamon and a drizzle of honey. Game changer

Ridiculous. But I do think Russets should be retired as the default baked potato. Red and Yukon Gold are way better.

Regular fries with no seasoning

 

Not once (okay, maybe once for oakhurst) has someone had sweet potato fries next to regular fries and chosen the sweet potato unless it was for dietary reasons.
