both are great, and I probably also prefer shake shack, but I feel like at least at five guys they give you big portions idk, I really posted that bc I went there last night bc they have bogo chicken sandwiches right now, so I got 2 for $8.99 They were TINY. Looked like sliders, literally a 3" bun/patty. I ate both and some fries and was still hungry after paying $14, (would have been like $23 without the free sandwich) and not even getting a drink.
Shake Shack has more prestige, God knows if they still do but traditionally they sourced their meat from only one butcher also when it was just a stand in park there were always giant lines
It was delicious, don't get me wrong but the portion size for the price was insane. If I'd have paid full price, I probably would have said something which I never do.
At one point, yes. But that was a decade ago, and this is in Dallas TX in a strip mall with a million other options. I havent been there in years and I guess they do well, but it seemed crazy to me.
I love Five Guys whole policy of making sure there are a shit ton of fries outside of the cup of fries they give you
Probably just because Five Guys has like 10 times more locations than Shake Shack and not that many people have tried it comparatively.
My parents just got from vacation in Maine and brought me back Maine candy. Needhams, which is a mixture of coconut and potato covered in chocolate. You can't really taste of the potato, but it defintley has a mashed potatoey texture. It's like a thicker mushier Mounds.
My boss put fun size Peanut Butter Snickers in her candy drawer and I've eaten like 30 in the last week. So damn good. Better than the OG.
I've never been to shake shack but it'd be impossible for me to have a shake and a burger in one sitting. Just sounds gross. Maybe 10 years ago I'd give it a go, but one or the other is a calorie / gut bomb in and of itself. I barely eat a full serving of fries with a burger (assuming a decent portion of each).
Regular french fries are overrated. Whenever I go to a burger joint I never order fries. There are 2 exceptions and that's when I go to chickfila or if there are sweet potato fries. Any where else I never order fries. I've never understood the craze. Just empty carbs that need to be dipped in a sauce to have any flavor.
I agree though I bought a bag of frozen checker seasoned fries and they are amazing, so yea... when fries are good, they're really good. But most times, they're pretty boring and I'd rather have a loaded side salad, or tots, or something else with my burger.
Dude frozen checker seasoned fries are so good haha. Haven't had them in a long time but I used to love those. Also really like Five Guys cajun fries but they hurt my lips after a while and make me feel like shit lol. Hate tater tots, though.
I like tots, especially when they’re nice and crispy, but… Breakfast/brunch places that have tots as their potato is a total cop-out. Please give me home fries or hash browns. Fuck that tater tot for breakfast shit
Never knew what home fries were until I had breakfast in Vermont earlier this month. I thought they were alright
Home fries are SO good haha. Are they only a New England thing or something? But also enjoy grabbing some gash browns with my Dunks order
Not big on peppers and onions on things. I'll take a plain steak and cheese sub over a steak bomb sub any day
