I guess this was a new store that just opened a few months ago and he said they're off to a really slow start and don't get much business right now I guess. It's in a kinda weird location.

 

Also for the "best cake" debate

Carrot Cake with cream cheese frosting. Come on now. It's the best.

When I worked there, my manager always promoted to customers that we were always hiring. And it was true, we’d always need people to fill in spots (and this was 8-10 years ago). I can only imagine what it’s like now

 

I wonder if Chipotle is on the decline, it's just that location or if it's simply a symptom of the fast food market being on the downturn in general.

 

I find a plain birthday ice cream cake like vanilla or chocolate to be pretty boring. Reese's cake is the only one I really enjoy because I'm a peanut butter fiend lol.

 

Tbh my Chipotle is always slammed. Usually a line out the door around noon during the work week

 

Ice cream cake is fine. Not something I would ever seek out on my own, but if there’s some at a party/gathering then sure

 

Cold Stone makes a pretty solid ice cream cake. But if I’m having cake, I’d prefer just a regular one

 

From what I’ve heard they have been declining since they moved HQ to California

 

They’ve always been bad the cracks are just showing more now. The old CEO actually cared about quality at least they just over worked everyone. Now they overwork everyone more but don’t care as much about quality. Bad company.

say what you want about Moe's but I've had at least a hundred meals there and never felt anything remotely close to how shitty my stomach felt from that one Chipotle experience

 

Luckily I have a legit Mexican spot across the street from my apartment, the kind that is actually Mexican owned and where Mexicans eat at too. 10x better burrito than anything I have ever had at Chipotle or Moe's.

 

Yeah there's a really good Mexican owned restaurant downtown where I live, I rarely get Chipotle these days.

They have a really good fork and knife burrito with beef and shredded chicken that I'm obsessed with. Always comes with free home made chips and salsa. Amazing margaritas, too.

Ice cream on a slice of pie > ice cream cake

 

Yeah I have tons of good Mexican spots where I am. I’m covered

 

I had a piece of pumpkin pie with Trader Joe’s pumpkin ice cream the other day and I never felt more powerful

 

I’ve never tried ice cream on pie. I usually only have pecan pie which is already overly sweet, or I have pumpkin pie with whipped cream

 

Chipotle/moe’s/Taco Bell are different than actual Mexican food. Like how pizza butt/dominos/papa shaqs aren’t real pizza. Scratches a different itch.
