Beans depend on the meat I am using. If it's carnitas burritos or carnitas nachos it's always black beans. If not then it's pinto.
I am from Tampa and grew up around Cuban food. Pork always goes with black beans. Love making a Cubano Burrito.
Didn’t think this was a hot take but none of my friends seem to agree. I think hot subs are superior in every way to a cold sub.
For me it all depends on the type of sub. If it’s a meat-centric sub like an Italian or Cuban, or without many veggies, then hot all the way. If it’s a sandwich with stacked with veggies on it, cold is far superior.
Yeah I’m all over the place on sub styles. Italian? Toasted. Turkey? Cold, but the bread can be toasted. my go to sub at Subway is a hot sub and loaded with veggies so that doesn’t matter, but when I eat the second one the day after I’ll take all the veggies off before I toast it. I certainly wouldn’t eat a cold steak sub unless it’s a leftovers situation, and even then I usually reheat it
I’ve never had a mostly veggie sub, but my go to at subway is always toasted, firehouse is hot. The only time I eat cold subs is if it’s the only option at places like Jimmy John’s or sub station
been gone for a minute… garbanzos, but admittedly beans give me horrible gas. screw peanut m&ms. far and away the worst m&m / candy / food.
my issue is really just that peanuts are an inferior nut. why not put an almond inside instead? pistachio? cashew?
