The best kind of fast food regional chain is Friendly’s. It’s where every trashbag townie New England family goes to celebrate special occasions! It’s not good, but it’s good. Fuck I love and hate friendly’s.

Always loved my parents getting me a Friendly's reeses ice cream cake on my birthday though

 

The one in Concord is still alive! Their cake and ice cream is delicious.

friendly’s ice cream is pretty commonly available in the supermarket… at least in the northeast anyways aka god’s country

 

it's like IHOP where they serve 100 things and only one of them is good but it's really good

I can imagine the love/hate thing with it. I thought they closed all of em down near me but there's one two towns over but it's primarily 55+ over communities.i don't think I ever thought of em as "fast food" either to each their own
