Chipotle doesn't have enough variety and fixings for me. A pretty boring burrito spot overall. I'm also into the whole throw in the grill and crisp up the outside and seal it up thing that smaller (and better) places do. I've rarely had their chips. There's a local chain near me that I go to more often and the chips and salsa bar are included (as it should be). However, their chips kind of suck as they're so thin.
congrats to @JordanTheGirl420420 for getting post 17,000 you win the freedom to get Chipotle for lunch
Love the home made chips and salsa my local Mexican place makes. It's hard to not get full while you're waiting for your meal haha
I mean, if chipotle would have a normal mild or medium salsa I would do that instead. Their regular salsa is just chunks of tomatoes. If you want a saucier salsa, you have to get a spicy version of it
Their medium salsa is great and then they throw in onions and cilantro and make it worse. It’s great just outta the bag as is.
I do the pico and the medium salsa. The spicy fucked my stomach up and I haven’t done it since. (Spicy food usually doesn’t hurt me) I wish they had the fajita veggies more often. 90% of the time I go they don’t have it
Purely anecdotal and doesn’t mean anything, but this reminds me of this Mexican place in my hometown that legitimately was the best salsa I’ve ever had. It was popular among locals for its salsa. They even won awards for it. But they closed shortly before I moved. I still yearn for it… This reminds me of when I worked at a Chipotle and one time a customer asked for mild salsa and then after I put it on his burrito he got butthurt and said “ooh… I didn’t know there were tomatoes in mild salsa” and had me remake the entire thing. Like, dude… You can’t see through the glass?
I have chipotle war stories for days. I was a general manager there. Not sure if I’ve shared that before.
topic change because this ain't the goddamn Chipotle thread Tastykake products are either incredible or abysmal
