I agree and it’s at some organic hippie style restaurant which is also why it’s expensive.

Pretty solid research the last decade has shown that Allicin, the key compound in raw Garlic has really powerful antibacterial properties.

I found it's most useful for toothaches. It won't keep you from having to go to the dentist, but it works to stop the pain 50x better than orajel or anything like that.

 

Also I sometimes eat raw ginger for it's natural anti-inflammatory properties. It's really good for stomach aches.

 

good also if you cut it up and boil it in water to make tea.

 

I have put ginger in mint tea for GI flareups before. Works pretty good.

 

Makes sense since people tend to drink ginger ale when sick

 

as a kid my dad made me drink warm Diet Coke to help with stomach aches

probably not but knowing my dad, he would just assume it was an expensive fancy soda(pop) from Canada
