Making a cranberry orange quick bread for tomorrow. I did not follow the recipe so we'll see how this turns out. My way made more sense and I browned the butter and used a vanilla pod I had in the cupboard.
I told my parents I wanted a cast iron skillet for Christmas, and they were like "wait we can do that right now", and went and pulled out like a 100 year old antique cast iron they bought at an estate sale they never used.
My mom made a bunch of desserts for a delayed thanksgiving we're gonna have on Saturday. I went over tonight to do laundry while they're out of town and I searched everywhereeee to see if I could steal a cookie or whoopie pie, but did not come out lucky lol
I had my thanksgiving tonight just with my parents. They both work tomorrow and we are not very close with our extended family anymore. My mom didnt have much time so it was just frozen packaged turkey loaf, box stuffing, green been casserole, and canned cranberry sauce.
I made mini pumpkin Bundt cakes with a homemade PSL cream cheese frosting as one of my desserts. The frosting piper was screwing up, so they look messy, but damn they came out good
Wife's pump malfunctioned and get sugar went about high, so we went to the hospital as a precaution and they wound up keeping us overnight. Alf good now though, thankful to be home for Thanksgiving because there was talk of keeping her there until Monday. Thanks for asking homie :) this sounds fire
I never knew Mallowmars were mainly a northeastern thing. Makes sense. Down south is Moon Pie country.
Better question why isn't there a W in Mallomars?? The way I was spelling it actually makes sense phonetically!
Mallomars were my grandma’s favorite and consistently had them around when I was growing up. This takes me back Also didn’t know they were only a northeast thing, but that makes sense since my grandma was from there originally Although… now I’m kind of wondering how she was able to get them though?
My grandma's go to cookie she always had was the Keebler Fudge sandwiches. The ones that are Keebler Elf shaped.
