More for me (I wish, my body hates soda rn)

 

Pibb is good and I wish I could get it outside of a movie theater

but maybe the novelty of it is what I like

 

what's surprising to me is that it's a cherry flavored soda and I usually loathe those but something about Pibb just works for me

One year I had thanksgiving with a girlfriend’s family and they served baked pears with red hots sprinkled on top. It wasn’t terrible but I’ve never heard about anything like that since.

I’ve talked to people about it and they think I’m making it up. I wasn’t even drinking at that one!

 

I honestly don't think I've ever had a casserole and still think they're made up

 

When Laura moved here and met my family she was like "I've never known so many things could be casseroles"

 

She's also east coast iirc and we do not socialize with neighbors haha

 

It's so funny because now that we have a house she wants to meet the neighborhood and I want to talk to absolutely no one, I wish so badly we could've moved up there to NE haha

We have buttered noodles at Thanksgiving every year

 

Also the fact that Pibb is described as Spicy Cherry Cola has always been funny to me

That’s one of the only similar dishes I’ve found while trying to figure out if it’s a thing. Seems like people will also can pears with red hots but I haven’t even seen a recipe of intentionally peeling, sprinkling, and baking. Must have been a family thing
