They’re smaller than other beans which I like, pinto and others are too big and mealy/grainy for my liking. Same reason I dislike potatoes.
I've never had good steak at a burrito place (Moes / Willys / Chipotle etc, doesn't matter) so I consider it a waste of money to even bother with it. Chicken always. Also, Pinto beans > black. And fresh jalapenos (with seeds chopped in) 100% over pickled always. I'll take pickled on a sub, but burrito should always be fresh.
Moe's > Chipotle, I agree that the chicken is where it's at either place but will often get half chicken, half steak on a Moe's quesidilla No beans, just meat and cheese (fajita veggies and rice if it's a Chipotle burrito)
TIL Moe’s still exists. My friends were obsessed with that place in high school haha, when it closed I assumed the whole company went away. Never got the hype, but I also didn’t really get on board with that southwest style of Mexican food until like 2010 at least
I worked at Moe’s in high school and was a GM at chipotle for awhile after college. Moe’s >>>> Chipotle
Moe's has mostly been good to me through the years Chipotle gave me the worst food poisoning of my entire life so yeah agreed
Qdoba was the best of that style for sure Chipotle kinda sucks but I like their chips so I’ll get chips and guac from there occasionally
Stopped eating Chipotle after they made everyone sick and had stores run by 16 year olds Qdoba and Moe's are cool
I’ll take chipotle > moe’s, every time. There isn’t a qdoba very close to me, but I did like it when I tried it. Moe’s has much better queso than chipotle, but their salsas are mid af. The braised meats at these places are far better than their steak or chopped chicken, which start to dry out immediately, especially after they cut them while they’re still hot and then they sit in a steam table. Hard pass. also, pickled onions, jalapenos, shallots, etc. are a gift from god
Very local to New England and I haven't had it in forever but I remember Boloco used to have some of the best burritos when they had locations that were somewhat closer to me. Basically Chipotle with fresher ingredients and a specialty menu you can choose from if you dont want to build your own burrito or whatever.
