For those that don't like mushrooms, what does that even mean?? It's a huge category and there are so many varieties / ways to cook them. I imagine most people that don't like them have only ever eaten button mushrooms served slimey.

I love mushrooms. I had lobster mushrooms lately and made a 'lobster' bisque with them and it was great. Didn't even know they existed till recently.

Roasted oyster mushrooms? Perfect for topping a risotto for some crunch.

King Oyster mushrooms? Perfect seared for a scallop like texture.

I generally refuse to eat mushrooms, but will admit one time I ordered a steak and they had a massive portobello mushroom next to it, and they seasoned and cooked it so well that when I accidentally bit into it, it tasted just like my steak, but softer obviously lol

I like the taste of mushrooms but I need them chopped up real small cause the texture isn't great to me

It's just such a broad category and I think people try A type of mushroom and then are just like nah fuck mushrooms expecting them all to be like that. More for me I guess.
