Chick-Fil-A is one of three food options on campus and I'm gonna be real, I don't feel bad eating at it because pretty much every fast food restaurant (especially under Yum Brands) has absolutely horrific politics and donates money to bad people. Chick-Fil-A just doesn't hide it. The other two options are campus food, and I refuse to eat at the cafeteria alone with college students as an almost 30-year-old employee
Besides the moral issues (i agree that it's nearly impossible to be entirely ethical in buying anything), I just think Chik-Fil-a is pretty mediocre, especially for how expensive it is. and I hate their stupid name
I finally saw Topo Chico at a grocery store so I picked it up, didn't realize it was $10 for an 8 pack but I was already invested in trying it so I got it. It's good, but that price point can get fucked.
Skirt steak too. Annoying that when cheap food gets trendy, it gets expensive. But i know there's a whole lot of history to unpack there and shit like lobster used to be cheap as well.
I think you can still find Topo for cheap at the Mexican markets, and I when I worked at corporate for 99 Cents stores I know they sold it there, so I think you can still find it for a bargain. But it's insane what places like Whole Foods (more like whole paycheck) are selling it for.
Worth noting that it’s a completely different version “The newly envisioned Ice Cream Chocolate Taco features a base of waffle cones, filled with cinnamon ancho ice cream, dipped in rich chocolate, and finished with a sprinkling of toasted brown rice for added crunch. This gourmet version is designed to enhance the textural experience and introduce a more sophisticated flavor profile, blending sweet, spicy, and crunchy elements.” It does sound really good but it’s not gona be the $1.50 one you used to be able to get at any gas station freezer looks like it’s also only going to be at Salt and Straw locations unless you wanna pay a ton of money to get it shipped to you.
kind of. but the smokiness is much stronger in the smell imo. apparently most people love or hate it, like ive seen people saying it makes them nauseous lol. i cant get enough of the stuff
I can't remember if I addressed this earlier in the thread or not but I still think they go completely overkill with the fries. I agree that Five Guys is good and I do like their fries but even when I ask for a little order they still end up taking up like half the bag
Never go to the grocery store while high when they are selling Girl Scout cookies. I walked out with six boxes and now I’m about to OD on thin mints.
